Destination directory
Yacht charter destinations, region by region
Thirty destinations and a dedicated Cabo catamaran guide, each with its own cruising areas, seasons and planning notes. Choose where you would like to be on the water and we will check the vessels currently offered there.
Before you choose
Every destination has its own fleet
We do not run one fleet that travels the world. Each destination has its own selection of charter vessels, its own departure points and its own rules, and the choice can change with the season.
Cabo San Lucas, Miami and Nassau typically offer a broad range of motor yachts, catamarans and sailing yachts for day charters. Smaller island destinations may have only a handful of suitable boats, and some areas are best explored on longer, multi-day itineraries. Use the guides to understand each place, then tell us your date and group size so we can check the options that actually exist there.

Neighboring markets
Close on the map, different on the water
Several destinations sit near one another but are separate charter markets with different marinas, travel times and experiences. These are the comparisons we are asked about most often.
Cabo San Lucas or San José del Cabo?
Both are in the municipality of Los Cabos. Cabo San Lucas charters usually leave the busy harbor near Land's End; San José del Cabo departures generally use Puerto Los Cabos marina, at the far end of the roughly 33 km Tourist Corridor and closer to the airport. Nassau or the Exumas?
Nassau is on New Providence, with Paradise Island and Rose Island close by. Pig Beach is in the Exuma Cays, a long open-water run to the southeast, so it needs a capable vessel, settled weather or a flight. Nassau guide · Exumas guide
Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum or Riviera Maya?
Cancún has the most marina infrastructure, Playa del Carmen faces Cozumel across the channel, Tulum has no large yacht marina, and the Riviera Maya is the whole coast between them. Where you stay usually decides the best departure point. Riviera Maya overview
Antigua, not Barbuda
Antigua and Barbuda is one country, but our Antigua guide covers charters around Antigua itself: English Harbour, Falmouth, Jolly Harbour and the islets off the coast. Antigua guide
Costa Rica is several markets
Guanacaste, the Central Pacific and the southern Pacific coast each have their own marinas and beach departures. We match the departure point to the area where you are staying. Costa Rica guide
A yacht or a catamaran in Cabo?
Cabo is the one destination with two guides: the main Cabo San Lucas page covers the whole charter market, while the catamaran guide focuses on sailing and power catamarans. Cabo catamaran guide

Destination questions
Frequently Asked Questions About Choosing a Charter Destination
Not sure which destination fits your trip? Tell us when you are travelling and what you would like to do on the water, and we can suggest options.
Which destinations have the widest choice of yachts?
Larger marina towns such as Cabo San Lucas, Miami, Nassau and Cancún generally offer a broad range of motor yachts and catamarans. Choice in smaller island destinations can be more limited and more seasonal. We confirm what is available for your exact date when you inquire.
Can I see the vessels available in a destination?
Yes. Once you tell us the destination, date and group size, we share details and photos of suitable vessels that are currently offered there, along with what each charter includes.
Do you offer charters in destinations that are not listed?
Ask us. The directory covers the destinations we most often arrange, but if you are travelling elsewhere we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
Which destinations suit catamarans best?
Catamarans are popular wherever calm, shallow anchorages and swim stops are part of the day, including Cabo San Lucas, the Bahamas and many Caribbean islands. Availability varies by location, so we check the current catamaran options for your destination.
Does the season matter when choosing a destination?
Often, yes. Hurricane seasons, winter winds, whale seasons and summer heat all shape charter conditions. Each destination guide explains the seasonal points that matter there.
Can I charter in more than one destination on the same trip?
Yes, as separate charters. Send us each destination and date in one inquiry and we will check the options for each.
How is the destination directory organized?
By region: Mexico, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Central and South America, the United States and Europe. Use the region buttons to filter the list, then open any destination for its own guide to seasons, departure areas and charter styles.
Which destinations are best for snorkeling from a yacht?
Warm, clear-water destinations such as Cozumel, Curaçao, St. Thomas, Grand Cayman and the bays of the Los Cabos Tourist Corridor are popular for snorkel stops. San Diego and Seattle are cool-water destinations, where charters focus on cruising and sightseeing instead.
Where can I go whale watching on a yacht charter?
Several guides cover seasonal whale watching, including Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta for winter humpbacks, San Diego for gray whales in winter and Costa Rica's Pacific coast, which sees humpbacks in two seasons. Whale watching follows local rules, and sightings are never guaranteed.
Can I charter a yacht during a cruise ship port day?
Often, yes. In ports such as Nassau, Cozumel and St. Kitts a private charter can be planned around your ship's schedule. Share your arrival and all-aboard times so the charter brings you back with time to spare.
Which charter destinations are affected by hurricane season?
The Atlantic hurricane season, June 1 to November 30, covers the Bahamas, the Caribbean, the Mexican Caribbean and Miami, while Mexico's Pacific coast follows the Eastern Pacific season from May 15 to November 30. Each guide notes the local peak months and the drier, more popular seasons.
